Mr. Urgo began his career in 1990 as a member of the opening team at the Plainview Residence Inn by Marriott. Since then he has been a member of, or managed, the conversion or opening of more than fifteen Marriott and Hilton Hotels.

He began his career in housekeeping and food & beverage with Residence Inn by Marriott. His career path took him through meetings / banquets, maintenance, front office and sales from 1990 to 1996 with Marriott Hotels Resorts and Suites, Courtyard and Fairfield Inn by Marriott.

He served as the Business Travel Manager on the opening sales team at the full service Marriott Gaithersburg Washingtonian Center in 1992. He then accepted the position of Regional Sales Manager for Courtyard and Fairfield Inn by Marriott in 1993.

After serving as a Regional Sales Manager for twenty-five Courtyard and Fairfield Inn by Marriott hotels in Washington, DC, Maryland and Virginia from 1993 to 1995, he joined Urgo Hotels to open the White Plains, New York Residence Inn by Marriott as Director of Sales.

Collin became the General Manager of the White Plains Residence Inn by Marriott in 1999. He was named General Manager of the Year 2000 for Residence Inn by Marriott’s northeast region and the “Business Person of the Year 2001” for Westchester County, New York.

While serving as the Director of Sales and General Manager in White Plains he also functioned as Urgo Hotels Corporate Director of Sales from 1996 to 2001. He became Vice President of Operations in 2001 and recently the Sr. Vice President of Operations for Urgo Hotels in 2004.

Mr. Urgo has spent the better part of his career representing upscale, branded extended stay and quality hotels in urban, downtown and resort markets. His diverse back ground in sales, revenue management and operations has earned him multiple awards including, General Manager of the Year – Northeast Region, Hotel of the Year – Northeast Region and Revenue Manager of the Year – Northeast Region.
